Can I play? My power supply is a Samlex SEC-1223, 23 amp switching power supply factory set at 13.8V. I have found that VR2 on the circuit board is a 1K variable resistor, and seems to be less than one turn. Open circuit, it will adjust output from 12-20V. I am currently using it to resurrect my boat battery that someone left the key on. I found it at less than one volt. None of my smart chargers would talk to it. I connected the SEC-1223 and set the voltage at 12.7. Very slowly, the current it would take ramped up from less than 1A to about 6A. I increased the voltage to 13.6 for an hour or so and the current went to 8A. I am now at 14.8 and the battery is taking 11A.
