Most power supplies need a modification to be able to be paralleled. A pair of rectifiers in the ouput positives.
It should be remembered that these power supplies would serve their most intelligent purpose to be used after batteries fill into the absorbsion stage. Even 12 cells of GC220s will find their way to within grasp of a 36 amp Megawatt or 500 watt RSP 15 Meanwell. The whole idea is to arrive at 14.8 volts corrected and stay there until the batteries are charged. Hopeless converters that essentially quit at 70% state of charge need to be judged. If a Megawatt stays at full output for an hour this is no stinky bueno. The minute the converter wants to charge less than 40 amps it's time for it to go bye-bye.
$300 for 30 amps is so-so. For about the same cash outlay I came up with a 90 amp BORG. But it was labor intensive. I wonder if I will still be breathing when The Greatest Battery Charging Miracle Charger is introduced. A 100 amp programmed time and voltage charger that has a three hour default to pre-set 14.0 safe volts then 2 hours after that a final default to float. It has to be Art Deco with chrome plated plastic and lots and lots of multicolor blinking LEDs. Oh yeah I forgot - it has to speak.
