More Solar ? (update)

OP here,.....
Ebay offer to "windy nation" was refused, came back w/ a counter offer, knocking 3 bucks off each panel. So, their not near ready to sell and ship at $1 a watt. At least now I know how that works.

RJ that makes good sense to me. Some nailed down on roof, some portable.

The portable solar polar mount worked great for staying in one spot for days.
But since then I do a lot of a day here and a day there, sometimes not worth dragging it all out. Then sometimes no sun, so why set it up. Then here comes the sun for a couple hrs, and I think,...why dint I set it up.

So, now I know what works, and I know what doesn't. And I'm thinking that a couple hundred watts on the roof that doesn't need set up, or turned on, will always be working, even if only 50% efficiency, it'll beats nothing at all.

If my offer of $1 a watt holds up, which I doubt, that price is delivered to my front door. I see many that do not include shipping, including Solar Blvd.

RVers used to work at an extensive routine to stay in battery power. Quiet generators, portable chargers, battery monitors, upgrading converters, hydrometer, mineral oil, disconnect switches, etc.

Solar has ended the entire nonsense.

Ebay 100 w poly panels for $129 or make offer. I never did a make offer before. But $200 for 2 panels seemed like a good price, so made the offer. Could take 48 hrs to answer.
Thought about 200 watts on the roof, and use portables as needed.

Last Black Friday, Solar Blvd was selling 100w panels for $95 and 120W panels for $115, plus shipping. Later, they were selling 140w panels for $135, 2 weeks before Christmas.

What about more generator time with the little Eu1000i, to use up some fuel?

More like thinking aloud. You can't have enough solar in places like coastal Or, Wa, or BC, unless it is a house (and a place to put a solar rack with another few KW nearby). So this is an ongoing quest.

Is this based on a "lesson learned" from the past few months on solar?

I am always thinking I have too much solar and then not enough, and a sale pops up, and I buy more, then I sell some, can't ever get settled. :(

My twirling/tilting contraption is a bother after a while, but it would drive me nuts to leave them flat when I know there are more amps I could be getting even when I already have plenty.

I don't know how people can have the patience to just let solar happen by itself!
