Morningstar MPPT 60 Modbus Error
W7 finds the MPPT 60 on the CAT 5 crossover cable but I get a Modbus error when I try to connect using MSView. The remote display works OK. Any suggestions on how to resolve the problem?

- Ahh, I missed the cat 5 cable reference. Nevermind my post, unless you go the RS232 route.
- I'll be interested in how you work it out.
- I remember going through quite a headache when trying to link my Morningstar Tristar PWM to my laptop. The key is you need an RS232 STRAIGHT THROUGH cable, not a null modem cable. Then if I recall is was trial and error to select the right channel. But having the right RS232 cable is critical.
