Anybody have experience with the MorRyde HD Shackle upgrade kit? There's a great sticky here about using the Dexter EZ-Flex and wet-bolt kit:RV.NET Dexter EZ-Flex stickyBut I don't want the rubber equalizer because: $$$, already have shocks, could reduce my already low tire clearance of 2.5". I just upgraded my shackles and bolts to the Mor/Ryde HD and wet bolt kit... The shackles are almost twice as thick as the stock....

Well, found a local, S. Ontario, Canada source for HD shackles, bronze bushings and wet bolts. http://www.cerka.ca/catalog/32KIT.aspThe top three are their own kits with equalizers.The bottom three are Dexter's.But as my equalizers are not one of those in the kits, I got them to substitute six bushings for the two equalizers and drop the price $20 to Can$102.75. This makes it just like the MorRyde kit using the existing equalizers. And cheaper as no shipping/border hassles. Cerka is located in Milton ON and has lots of other trailer parts, like bearings and seals. Now all I gotta do is get them installed. We might just get this done before heading to Florida after all.:)

While the installer was doing that I asked him about the wet bolt and shackles....it cost me an additional $80.00 labor to swap the bolts to wet bolts... The old shackles to the HD... And the equaflex to the Mor/Ryde SRE 4000... Worth every penny!! I did the conversion on my last fiver myself and that was a bit of a challenge , only because of the weight of the trailer and my hot blacktop driveway.. But it was fine

But it was fineThink I'll avoid any potential problems by having someone with all the proper equipment do it. Especially as we want to leave for Florida in a few weeks. A local spring shop figures they can do it in 2.5-3 hrs at their going wage rate. I'm happy with that.
