I've never put anti freeze into my FW tank. I just unscrewed four screws to get rid of the "hatch" that enclosed the water pump area and left the piece of wood off. I also blow the lines out with air and use anti freeze via the water pump, which has a siphon hose and two way T tap in the water line from the FW tank. I take the filter out of the whole house filter, pump the anti freeze through the lines and then remove the filter container and drain the anti freeze out of it. My FW tank has a drain on it. So far in 37 plus years I've never had any water lines burst from freezing in any of the trailers we've owned.
