I have 5 service addresses on the west coast and with the spot beam overlap I get locals for the entire coast. I've gotten SF locals in Eugene and even Portland at night but it becomes marginal reception that far north. I receive 3 DTV birds which I'm sure helps.
Switching service address: keep asking for support until you get a person, give them a prior service address and you're quickly done. A new service address takes longer as they must verify the information and then complete the setup so that you get the locals.
