Nice! Can I limit the voltage sweep range by entering min and max Vmpp (hot panels in shade, cool panels in edge effect) if I know them? Or is it so fast now and the quickest interval between scans large enough that those few milliseconds don't really matter? Think edge case like solar roof panels charging batteries while driving past buildings and under bridges.
There's really no need to limit the voltage range of the sweep. The "down time" during the sweep is very small, and even if it was longer, there's virtually no energy lost during that time. The amount of energy lost during brief shading is also negligible (if the whole panel is shaded, you're not getting much from it anyway). The sweep occurs only once during MPPT - at the start - unless the user chooses the option of having the sweep occur at an interval. The dynamic tracking is very good, so there's generally no need to do recurring sweeps. But the option is there for those that want to play with it.
