MPPT controller - voltage sensing without separate wires?

Soon to be released MPPT 3048 will have battery voltage sensing wires optional. Before they were standard. Now it is supposed to sense the battery voltage through main terminal cables, if I'm correct....

2/0 is overboard for small RV systems. As said before, most locate controller very close to batteries. Resistance is extremely low when ott gauge is used. Cost isn't much.
