MPPT controller - voltage sensing without separate wires?

Soon to be released MPPT 3048 will have battery voltage sensing wires optional. Before they were standard. Now it is supposed to sense the battery voltage through main terminal cables, if I'm correct....

KJINTF, my logic was as follows. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Max voltage input determines max array wattage. More wattage - more frequent periods when the output current is at the controller output limit. More frequent periods of high current - more error in voltage, if sense wires are not used.
