MPPT controller - voltage sensing without separate wires?

Soon to be released MPPT 3048 will have battery voltage sensing wires optional. Before they were standard. Now it is supposed to sense the battery voltage through main terminal cables, if I'm correct....

24V battery same as 12V battery same as 48V battery. Unless there's some weirdness with batteries wired in series (there isn't with 6V wired in series for 12V), everything will be the same. What is the Ah rating for two 6V wired in series? There are batteries with different voltages as you well know. 2V, 8V, 6V, and 12V are the most common. 24V, 36V and 48V batteries are just one of those wired in series or series/parallel.
