Only start of Abs stage is based on voltage. Termination of Abs stage is based on current and/or time, while voltage is kept constant.
Battery needs to get to V abs, so - yes, with loads it might have difficulties getting into Abs, there is no other way to do it. Not too many MPPT would require a shunt on battery to measure current. Somehow my controller has a solution for measuring current without shunt - and for $400 less :)...
I agree with SMK, 600W solar requires 40-45A MPPT. 60A would be overkill. Why settling on 96A Midnite 150 - I don't know, but hey - whatever makes man happy...
