My AC drips water inside.

I have a Coleman (Airexcel) Mach 15 roof unit coupled with adapter kit to Carrier ducted ceiling unit. After running for a while it sometimes, not always, drips from the air filters area. On one occasion it was ok until I turned the unit off and then it literally rained from the filters. Any ideas what is going on or what I can do about it?

  • A pipe cleaner (the kind with bristles) is the best tool for cleaning the "weep holes" in the drip pan.

Stay away from cottonwood trees …
  • Evap coil drip pan is not properly draining...so the condensation is being carried over and draining inside vs outside down roof.

You will need to go up on roof, remove shroud, then remove the cover over the evap coil. Directly under the evap coil is the drip pan......should have drain holes on each end of pan. They need to be cleaned out.
Might as well clean the evap coil while you have it exposed.....block opening in roof or you will get inside of rv wet.
