". With a 100ah AGM battery I could get 3 days run until the AGM was at 50%……With the Lithium I got over a week before I pulled the plug and the battery was still at 60%.
The Blue Smart Charger would bring the battery back from 60% to 100% in about 2.5 hours! It would take the AGM battery all day on a 20a smart 120v charger……Huge advantage Lithium!"
First- very nice job all round on the upgrades!
Seems to be a problem with that 60% SOC figure for the LFP as quoted above. I suspect a monitoring problem giving the wrong SOC
1. An AH is an AH no matter what battery type. Both batts are 100AH and the AGM was down 50AH and the LFP was down --you think--40AH yet for the same usage the LFP lasted twice as long. Not possible.
2. You say the recharge went from 60%-100% in 2.5 hrs at 30 amps. That is 2.5 x 30 = 75AH NOT 40AH. So again that 60% SOC must be wrong. You were down to about 25% SOC it seems from that.
Not sure if that affects both upgrades or just the first one for getting the LFP SOCs right. It matters to make sure you don't go too low on the LFP by mistake and have the BMS shut it down.
