Since you did not say you have the greaseable axles, I assume you are meaning to repack the bearings before EVERY trip.
I hope I don't offend you BUT - I can't believe YOU or ANYONE else repack your bearings before EVERY trip!!! That is OVERKILL.
As an ex mechanic and pulling trailers all over the country I know a little about packing wheel bearings. The bearings will ALWAYS get HOT before failing. They will always get LOSE before failing. Jacking up and checking for loseness REGULARLY and checking for HOT while traveling
will catch a problem BEFORE failure 999.9 per cent of the time. For what it is worth...
