This probably explains why you like cobs for overhead lighting and I like panels. I have the same fixtures as Falcon.
Not only do my clear covers filter out less of the light, my fixtures also have a shiny metal reflector that may do a better job with the cobs. It is also raised off the base of the fixture so I get better heat dissipation with the panels.
