No, how could anybody give you vehicle specific suggestions when you choose not to tell us what vehicle you have?
I'm just not getting this, at all. Your signature line states a "DIY minivan" and that isn't what you have. Later you state that it is a "3/4 ton chassis". You can't expect good advice on your vehicle when you are choosing to keep it's identity a secret.
FYI, there are differences between vehicle year, brands, and models. There isn't any generic answer to your issues.
My suggestion is to take this mystery vehicle to a shop.
