It's been a couple weeks.
Perhaps 2 schumacher charges, the rest solar, a smidge of alternator. 14.5 acceptance for 2.5 hours, 14.7 float. Most days it is in float by 2:30.
I gave it the last few days off, putting all loads on my 90 a/h AGM battery instead. After the AGM was in 14.7v "float" taking 0.6a or less, I parallel the Screwy 31 and disconnected it again before dark. It saw no loads for 3 days and was "fully charged" 4 days ago.
Right now under a 4 amp load, with 26a/h removed from the battery, it is reading 12.06v.
Last night, same time, same load, temperature, same A/H removed from the 90a/h AGM, 12.26v.
I have no confidence in this 3 month old USbattery G31. It requires insane voltages and durations to max out the SG, and simply does not perform well even after a EQ in the high 15's
I have not bothered to check the SG lately.
Honestly I'd feel better with another 90/Ah NorthStar AGM to replace it and drop my overall capacity further. Even the night I took 65 A/h from my AGM, it easily started my engine.
I could remove the group31 entirely, perhaps sling it through the manufacturer's doors. Perhaps then, I might be satisfied with its performance.
