There is a reason why Crown and Rolls & Surette are up to their ears in orders and production. The batteries cost more. I wonder why their sales keep increasing?
Are thousands of customers stupid? We live in a society where some people will drive across town to save thirty cents a gallon on gasoline for a 16 gallon tank.
I really (personally) opt for the absolutely CHEAPEST thing I can get my hands on.
Like a 40 dollar pair of work pants and 30 dollar shirt (Dickies). Now how many ten dollar Wal-Mart specials would I have purchased since 2002? Something tells me I am WAY AHEAD in this deal.
Broken garbage that destroys vacations, commutes, and shopping trips are a loser. Friends tell me I pinch a peso so hard I make the Aztec fart. My college economics professor chided me for using newsprint for a thesis. He paused in mid scold, started laughing hysterically and then ended up assigning me the highest grade.
I went ENERGY EFFICIENT down here as an exercise. No AC. Someone else washes my clothes. Single person. My last utility bill was 127 kWh. Oueeee not bad, right? WAIT! That 127 kWh was for TWO MONTHS!
A bad battery knocks my socks off financially. It always causes a chain-reaction and the bad effects cause me a hell of a lot more than the battery never mind the DIFFERENCE between a well engineered battery and the run of the mill recycle specials.
I CANNOT AFFORD to spend a few hundred dollars on gasoline, then have a cherished trip dissolve before my eyes. Having lots of money eases such a crisis but then again they frown on bank robbery down here...
