Nice work Landyacht318... now let's see what your voltage on the group 31's drop to come morning tomorrow. If you end up at 12.4 or thereabouts, then you did a good job massaging that group 31 back to where it needs to be. It might need this kind of treatment more frequently than you'd like, once a week, once every 10 days, once every 14, but if your SG keeps dropping, there's your sign to bring it back up to 1.280 or so, and now you know how to do it. Massage it for a couple of days. It takes some serious voltage to get that battery to get the SG up where it belongs. As I said before, my little group 24DC took 16.0V, then the voltage dropped off rather quickly to 15.7V. I took it off the charger then, and now, at 18 months old, it acts almost as good as new overnight, once properly equalized. All I could get was 1.270, though for the SG.
I would go for a 14.8V acceptance and a 13.4V float, myself, only for those 31's, I've no idea what to run on the AGMS. Maybe get a seperate charge controller set up just for them, like an RJspecial set at a 14.4V bulk charge mode.
