The 31 has not been cycled at all.
Just an engine battery. 2 days after last engine use voltage 12.78.
sg 1.280. Measured an hour ago.
Agm performed admirably as house battery. Rare was I to witness it go under 12.4v. Even with 35 ah removed under a 7 amp load, it held 12.4. It took an 11 amp load at that soc to drop into the he 12.3 range and less. It never went below 12.2 all week and was only given solar recharging.
The 31 would have recorded an 11.9or 11.8 minimum voltage during the same use.
I just bumped up float voltage to 15 for the rest of the day. Tonight will switch battery duties ant set a 15.3v float to occur after it takes less than .8 amps to hold the 31 only, at 14.4v or for 2.5 hours max.
I am interested in seeing agm resting voltage after a week of cycling and a solar only recharge.
Well, it's a little early, but I believe if you get 5 or more years out of that AGM, you may very well be a convert. How many recharge cycles do you feel is fair value for the price of that battery?
