Since last week, 14.8 ABSV for 2 hours or if Amps drop below 0.8a to hold 14.8v, 15.1v Float/finish.
30 to 45 A/h removed each night.
Battery rarely touched 12.1v under 9 to 10 amp loads. Better. performing well, IMO.
Almost no alternator assist. No Schumacher. Solar plentiful daily. 15.1v for several hours daily. Mild temps all week, 62 to 75f range
Today Dipped hydrometer about 1 hour after it went into Float at 15.1v.
Taking 1.1 amps to hold that 15.1v
SG 1.270, 1,270, 1.265. This is the highest Initial SG reading I've seen, after a week of cycling.
Switch loads to AGM increase to 16v for 31. 6.2 amps required to reach 16v.
1/2 hour later 1.280, 80, 75........still taking 4.2 amps
1/4 hour later 1.285 1.285, 1.285...Still taking 3.8 amps
1/4 hour later 1.285 all three....... taking 3.2 amps
Terminate EQ cycle.
I guess that 1.290 reading I once got a few weeks back, was incorrect
14.8 ABSV apparently makes a big difference over 14.7v with this 31.
Forgot to put on junk clothes before removing cap. Fumbled cap, GOt it on new 50$ boardshorts. Rinsed within a minute. Bleached camo colors to white, but material is some variation of ripstop nylon, still intact, so far.
Pretty sure that I'm narrowing down on that voltage/SG sweetspot 14.8v absv and 15.1f, and a weekly EQ blast of 16v for 45 minutes. This is acceptable to me, and hopefully not too aggressive on (+) plates.
I am not missing that extra capacity of 2 27's vs this single 31.
