If I was really worried about the battery I'd never discharge it. Much like my concluded cheapowatt thread, it is an ongoing experiment, a learning process, one I probably devote more time and effort and thought to than I should, but I find this stuff interesting.
I've been doing the alternator/ meanwell assists when I know the solar stands no chance of replenishing it by 3pm.
The battery will live as long as it lives, and I'm not going to baby it by not using it, but I will try and get it to near fully charged every cycle and will do so if i have grid power, but alternator and solar alone is no guarantee.
Will Trojan T-105's paired for 12V be in your future the next time around?
