No, I do not have the height requirements for t-105's.
I think when this 31 fails to meet my needs, I will get Trojan's 31. And maybe even Wally world's 29 though I have no good experiences with deeply cycling wally world batteries.
It depends on my mood at the time of failure, and my bank account, and location.
I do not really need the capacity of t105s either. I know the t105 are superior in cycle life, and that even the best DC 12v jars are compromises, but it is what it is.
My goal is to approach the 'recommended' bulk current via my 198 watts of solar. USbattery recommends 10%, Trojan 10 to 13%. For this USB31 that is 13 amps, and I can just barely approach that on June21 if i were to turn off my fridge and fans
When I had two Crown 27's as a house bank and Crown recommended 18%, the battery performance and longevity was bad, and made worse by their location under the floor in a cabinet via a hatch, where watering and checking SG was a royal PITA and i let them get low on h20. A single 31 in my engine bay is easy to check and basically allowed me to monitor the performance, and dial in the voltage setpoints of this Screwy 31 so that I actually got this much life from it.
And it ain't dead yet.
I'll probably just always keep a single AGM I rarely cycle deeply in the PITA access hatch in the cabinet below my floor that can fit 2 27's
Will be interesting to see how long this NorthStar AGM lasts, but it does not live a hard life either.
