My Audiophile friend, whom is closer to your age than mine Senior Daveed, is already hearing compromised, and that is part of the reason he is insisting on so many different amps and speakers, so that he can hear them properly. I think his logic is screwy, but there is no point in arguing with him, on anything, as he frequently argues apparently just to continue conversation.
I'm just interested to see what the "200 amp" alternator can actually supply and what the Amplifiers can actually consume.
I think BFL said his adjustable 100 amp powermax can do 105 amps, So I expect the same, and will use my clamp on meter for an additional data point.
I suspect the powermax plugged in will basically power the unit at maximum volume, but he is guessing max load will be 200 amps or more.
I told him my work stops once the 0 gauge cables are run near the amplifiers. My personal stereo is just a head unit with 4 speakers, and is plenty loud, perhaps a little distorted at near full volume, but good enough.
