Vehicles are a terrible space to get good sound going, too many reflective surfaces and speakers positioned incorrectly because of auto layout concerns. Some of us try, though. I do notice that my DIY system in the truck is a lot less fatiguing for listening than the other vehicle sound systems I've owned. I'd estimate the DIY system is drawing about 1000W-1500W at loud volume. A 135W alternator and single battery propels it all.
Nice choices of music there, LandY. I'll have to spin up the home system with those Altec midhorns and see if it still sounds good, lol. Actually, some of my audiophile buddies give me******about using the Altec aluminum tractrix horns. They are more in favor of exotic wood horns of different designs.
