Your observations just confirm what I thought was my imagination on the similar Screwy Trojan T-1275, a 31 on a bit of steroids. I'd observed not even 14.7v getting the T-1275 close to full charge. 1.250's, 1.245, and one lone 1.260 cell for Specific gravity.
So, knowing your battery recommends 15.3V for a top charge, I set my T1275 for 15.0V on the Mega Watt 30 amp PSU. That's a C/5 charge rate. I set my charge controller on the 150w solar panel unit for 15.0V also, a Solar30 unit. Nothing ever really boiled on the battery, it never got hot, popping the covers always revealed champagne bubbles slowly coming to the surface. Nothing like 3 hours on the generator at 15.0, then solar panel at same, battery disconnected, for the rest of the sunny summer day to get me up to 1.275 to 1.280. Low cell was now, I think 1.265.
A Trojan T-31 or a T-1275 would serve you well, I would think. 150 AH has worked out well for me on my travel trailer, so far.
The one cell of yours so low and so out of spec SG wise... ask not, for who thee bell tolls. Kinda like stage 6 or 7 of Alzheimer's is where that one is at.
