Quite some time back I read a post about a guy who was using his sprinkler type black tank flusher and had the valve closed, forgot and over filled the tank flooding the inside of his rig. How could anyone be so forgetful I thought. So I did exactly the same thing myself yesterday. My daughter comes outside to tell me water is comin out of the toilot. I had to laugh as I mopped up and dried everything including unbolting the toilot to dry and inspect. . Who could be so forgetful? Me LOL

Please note that one need not BE any particular age for Geezerdom™, it comes upon you at any age when you find yourself doing something like that.I don't have one of those fancy black tank flushers, but I have had the DW come in the house and ask me why water was pouring out the side of the camper where I'd been filling the fresh water tank and forgot it.

ahhh, reminds me of the old proverb my mother would tell me as a small child and teenager, The bitter words we speak today may be the same ones we will have to eat another day!

My sister and her husband were camping when a toy hauler pulled in near them with a family of four, it was a hot day as the dad started to set everything up outside, mom was busy inside getting everything in place, and the 2 little ones were outside with dad running around playing, after abit the water started to run off the roof and the girls seen the opportunity to cool down, you got it dad hooked up to the black tank flush, yuck :E

Wow came out the roof vent? Wonder why ot the toilot seal? O well. Life is an education and I had to learn this one for myself. No harm done (that I know of). You guys crack me up. LOL

Why would there be a gap? Would that not permit fumes to enter into the rv?

IF i came out of the roof vent I have some possible bad news for you.

Go up and remove the vent cap (Wear gloves and follow haz-mat procedures) and clean it.. Then look down the pipe.

In many RV's the actual vent pipe is not what you see on the roof,,There is a gap,and "Stuff" may have run down INSIDE THE WALLS of the RV....

Something to stink about.
