well in my case amps in will get lowered a little as this one is a voltage boost model but i'm only looking for a good float charge anyway
for controlling amps, you want one that is BUCK-Boost contstant current
you set the voltage out and the amps out
it will limit amps, to what ever it is set
all of those i looked at the max output amps was less than the input amps
example 16amps in max and 10amps out max
