Go to the dealer.
Ask to get a quote on the part.
Ask for a printout so you can show the other half since that person controls the wallet.
Use the OEM Part number from the printout to search OEM or aftermarket replacement parts online that has a picture of that specific part.
Use that picture at the salvage yard to find the correct part.
You may also want to use the GMC Owners portal to go to the parts section and see what part number and picture they show for your VIN.
