That auto supply store should have a Test Light like this one from Harbor Fright
And here's HF's cheapest meter, currently $6 on sale or $.50 more for one with a lighted display. Sometimes Free With Any Purchase!
Auto Supply probably has similar. Walmart does, starting around $10.
Either will help with the 10-2-4 test.
Or just crawl under, disconnect 2:00, insulate the wire terminal somehow, and short across from 10:00 to 2:00. Some of us have shorted from 10:00 to 4:00 with the pliers of a Multi Tool like a Leatherman. It leaves a scar (on the Tool, that is...) but doesn't ruin it.
I gOOgled 12193604 for the Relay and was amazed how many vehicles use it for how many functions. And how cheap. Lowest was around $3, plus shipping probably. I'd buy one and carry it along...

where they claim it's $45 Retail, $25 from them, other offers as low as $9. Also known as ACDelco 15-8733 Starter Switch Relay or a "Siemens Relay." There's a common "Bosch Relay" which is more cube-shaped and would NOT just plug into your sockets.
