I discovered a similar problem when I weighed my single axle TT. I was a bit overweight on my TT axle and my drive axle.
My wife had stocked the TT like it was a second home or cottage. I removed a LOT of extra stuff, even half the cookware, towels, super stocked medicine cabinet stuff. I also cleared out my TV a bit, I had enough stuff to survive two weeks or more in it for most conditions;) A lot of the "we MIGHT need it, but rarely if ever used stuff was pulled from the TT. Cut the clothing load in half, too. Weighed everything I pulled out to be aware of the added weight, it was surprising how much it added up.
Haven't boondocked or dry camped yet, so I haul no water in the tanks. We do take filtered water in jugs (& cut that amount in half from our initial loading). If I needed to haul a full water tank, I'd have to cut back far more.
