If the pin won't go back in use a bigger hammer :) Turn it 90 degrees and try that way. Otherwise, as said above, disconnect the wire for that going to the positive battery post.
Likely, the 7-pin will then still be able to work the brakes through the blue wire, but the breakaway won't work. Not legal to travel like that with no breakaway brakes.
With our fifth wheel, it is easier to use a dog leash in one of the truck bed eyepads to connect the breakaway wire to. This gives lots of slack to allow turns without tangling the short wire from the kingpin and pulling out the switch pin.
