Can you maybe string up some rope lights along your fence/gate/house? That might be more helpful than lights on the trailer (and might not be; one would have to try it out to see, I think).
At those times when I have to pull into a camp site and it's getting dark, I often put little LED lanterns at key locations to give visible reference points--spots like the corner of the picnic table, the power pedestal, the rock right next to the site's driveway, etc. I find that very helpful under those sorts of circumstances.
