Need your $0.02 on charge controllers
Currently I have a 50 watt panel with a Sun Saver 10A charge controller.
Based on my needs/wants/calculations/funds/roof space etc, I want to add another (2) 100-150 watt panels. I am going to do this Johnny Cash style - as in One Piece At A Time.
I got a little extra pocket change this month, so I thought I would start with upgrading the charge controller.
It looks like the Morning Star PS-30 or the Morningstar Tristar 45 might be the best for my application, but I am trying to figure out exactly what the difference is (besides 15 amps) between the two. The price on each is pretty close.
Which would be better? Or should I look at something else?
