Neutral loss during disconnect a problem?
If I disconnect (or connect) at a campground power post and the neutral pin comes out (or goes in).....first, before the live pins make contact.....is this a potential problem? Can a surge occur? ...

The method mentioned above is absolutely correct, unfortunately, breakers were not designed to be switches and have an early failure rate when used as such.
