Koni or Bilstien.

For ultra service the other brands are pretenders. I had to do this on several rigs. The results are impressive as hell.

Can't speak for RV's, but in my European sedans... I have nothing but great results with Koni's. Found that I preferred them over Bilstein gas shocks in several Audi's and VW's I've owned. YMMV, but I think you'll find money spent on Koni's as money well spent with a superior ride. Plenty of miles on canyon and mountain roads and freeways all over the Western United States to back up my comments and experience.

Pickups towing fivers ride and handle very well. Sometimes they have what I used to call a "giddy-up" ride (a fore-and-aft jerking). Now I hear the official term is "Chucking." Anyhow, can be fixed with a better pinbox and/or hitch.

The 4500... The tip about Henderson's Line Up is a good one. You can also call them and ask for John (Henderson) and he can tell you if there's a shop closer that's affiliated with their approaches, processes and parts choices.

Of late, Henderson seems to have begun favoring Koni FSD shocks. Bilstein is still a gold standard. Personally, I haven't seen enough reports on the FSD's yet. If I could wait I'd consider FSD, but if I had to do it now I'd go BIL.

MANY here have replaced their OEM shocks, right out of the box. Should't be, but a number have done it and been pleased. Track Bar will help if it's wandering, particularly if you tow. Sway Bars will reduce body roll. More important on the Fords because body roll affects steering, more on Ford than Chevy. Driving experience would improve, but literal "bouncing" shouldn't be affected much. If the bounce originates in one corner, sway bars cause it to be shared with the other corner. A Big Bounce on one side would become a lesser bounce on that end of the coach.

Too many people buy motorhomes without a lengthy test drive!! I recently drove someone's Class A a few miles to help them get set up in a campground. Boy was I disappointed in the ride and handling of this 35' Fleetwood Bounder!! I can't imagine paying this much for a new RV only to be shocked by the way it drove. We currently are on our 2nd 5th Wheel with a fantasy of moving into a motorhome next time. This 20 mile drive in the Class A killed any thoughts of us changing!!

I have a Chevy express g3500 cutaway on out Winnebago access. When I bought it , it had bad front to rear bounce and push from big tractor trailers. We added heavy duty bilstein shocks, a steering stabilizer, and a rear track bar, and now I can drive with one hand.
