As for the 30A KID controller the OP mentions, the price is decent, but the Midnite Solar website seems to hedge on where they are made. There was another MPPT controller by Intronics is cheaper, but has twice the amperage and 80 volts max input... and the Intronics controller is made in the US... not "designed in the US" and fresh off a boat from China, which I am concerned this device is. (Of course, if I'm wrong, please correct me, but I much rather buy from a domestic maker when possible.)
