I don't know about that. The peak torque for the Ford V10 is not all that far different, and it seems to work out pretty well in motorhomes. I hear more complaints from owners not liking the engine running at higher RPMs than reports of the engine not liking it.
The bigger problem here would likely be longevity: how long can the motor in the link sustain high power output continually without trouble (and before needing rebuilding)? It's rather different to design an engine for high instantaneous power output when compared with designing one for high continuous power output; cooling, in particular, is far more of a concern in the latter case.
