Talked to Randy at best converter today. He said the blue wire is positive and white is negative. So, I hooked it up correctly. He also said that the 14.7 volts is normal and after 15 mins the volts will drop to 13.6. He also said the humming is normal and will get less and less within the 15 mins and will be gone before 20 mins. He said it is burning itself in and all is good.
So, I turned shore power on and hooked up batteries and let it run. Voltage started out at 14.7 and at 15 mins it was at 13.6. Voltage at batteries read 13.47 (a little drop probably cause converter is about 15 feet from batteries I am guessing). Also the humming kept getting more quiet as time went on and at approx 18 mins the humming was gone.
Everything Randy said would happen actually happened.
Now, I will start loading the system and see what happens and report back
