New RV water pump sputtering air/water at faucets

While draining my clean 50 gallon water tank, I left the water pump running dry for about a half hour, maybe more. When I filled the tank again, it would not suck up any water, indicating that a seal ...

You didn't hurt the water pump because they're made to run dry there is nothing in it that is damaged by running without water.
