Panel voltage is irrelevant.


I believe the OP is suggesting that at the battery the voltage jumps (rises) to 16+v.

'Even under charge', the OP should only see max 14.4 or 14.6v at the battery.

The OP keeps becoming the controller by disconnecting the panel!!!!
