Next issue...leaf spring unseated during u-bolt removal...

My old shocks are discontinued. My new shocks have longer studs so I have to remove the plate under the u-bolts (above the u-bolt nuts) in order to install them. There is what I thought was a bolt i...

Thanks for that! I don't know how the springs could drop as they're still connected on both ends, just not in the middle. I guess if the remaining nuts screwed off under the plate the leaf springs could come down.

Appreciate the cautions though....
