Yep. The air you breathe is 78% nitrogen. The entire nitrogen in tire thing is HYPE.
The only place nitrogen in tires might be useful is in racecar tires. It MIGHT give them a slight advantage in running cooler. But unless you are running racing slicks at 200+ mph, save your money.
well, I agree on racing, but it is more than slight. by using a dry air source, nitrogen you can accurately predict the temperature effects on tire pressure, where a few psi can make a difference.
with just air from a compressor, you'd need to know the temperature and humidity to know how much the water vapor will affect tire pressure vs. temperature, which it can have a significant effect depending on how much water is present in the air.
with dry nitrogen, it's much more consistent.
for those not racing, IMHO the differnce isn't worth paying attention to.
