No brakes!

Ok, so I finally was able to go get my new (to me) toyhauler.
It's a 2004 Jayco Talon ZX 36Z.

Hooked everything up, and I have turn signals and brake lights, I *think* the 12V constant is working as it seemed to charge the batteries during the drive.
The problem is that I have no trailer brakes and no tail/running lights. Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks for the replies, sorry, should have put this in the first post. The wiring is correct, verified on both TV and trailer harness. No fuses blown as everything works correctly on my dad's flatbed trailer (also 7 pin), so it has to be something on the trailer...

    TV is a 2001 F250

what brake controller do you have?

  • Check for blown fuse under hood for Ford. The trailer lights and signals are fused seperately from th vehicle.
  • Could be wired incorrectly.
What tow vehicle as there could be bloen fuse. Check for fuse block under hood driver's side. This would be for the tailights/clearance lights.
Does the brake controller light up? could be fuse not installed or blown.
  • Your seven pin is bad or you dont have a brake controller? Do you have a brake controller? Search online for a bargeman wiring schematic, and print it out. That will be your starting point for tracing wiring.
