No heat or hot water. Please help

Obstruction in the air supply or exhaust. Mud daubers shut down my furnace with only about 10% obstruction in the air intake. Never had a problem with water heater because I never used it.

if you give up? don,t take it to a dealer. call a mobil tech ,they come to you ,you get to help,and learn. cheaper. smarter. a dealer will just throw parts at it till it works, or you run out of money.

First the comment about air in the line.. ****. Any air in the line would be blown out the first time the furnace or water heater tried to light.. Those are MAJOR gas suckers.

Now one possible issue is the excess flow valve. TUrn off Propane then turn it on very slowly. like quarter turn at a time if you hear gas flow. stop continue when you no longer hear it flowing. Till it is FULL OPEN

Regulator not opening fully (As I said the devices not working are major gas suckers)

But frankly I'm doubtful of those

Clogged orifice. Fairly common. removing and cleaning fixes. A spider likes to nest in 'em.

Bad control boards or solenoid valves is another option. But you need to do a full diagnosis flow chart and I don't have it on this computer.

That's a good idea. I'll try some compressed air tomorrow. The hot water heater is easy to get to, but the furnace is quite the pain lol.

could be dirt or spider webs in the gas orifice for the burners

some compressed air in the right places might clean things out

Also, New battery and we were plugged in as well.

Thanks for all the replies and thoughts. I did read about a sail switch, but that wouldn't explain the hot water issue. And i don't believe there is air in the line as I took off the connection at the furnace and gas makes it through with no issues. Don't think it's a12 volt issue as the fan goes on and it tries to ignite. Just no gas I presume. But not sure why not. Might be time to visit the rv shop.

HA! My first thought is air lock. If the OE never used the gas its very likely there is air in the lines. It may take several tries before it catches.
