The discharge point at the water tank may have a screen inside the tank that is partially plugged. Some systems do have the screen to filter any material from reaching the pump and cause greater problems. Older water tanks will develop a film on it's inside walls that floats but when a tank is pumped dry or almost dry the film is drawn to the discharge point. Even religiously sanitizing the tank on a regular basis will not desolve the build up. Emptying the tank and removing the discharge fitting, hopfully with the tank in it's mounted position, will bring with it the screen and much of the build up of material. Well...after I posted this response I belatedly noticed that the unit is a 2016 model year. I went back and edited this post with the last couple sentences. So much for my insight.
