Noisy banging range hood exterior vent flap fix??

I'm in the RGV so wind is a daily issue. The flap bangs and the noise disturbs us. My previous RV had an exterior flap that I could latch closed from inside the RV. This RV has a plastic flap with ...

Joe, we have not had a problem with wind, except one time, when the vent opening was pointed right into the wind. We put a piece of plastic temporarily over the inside of the vent hood -- problem solved.
