It is a recall kit fault code. I will be willing to bet that he is using the RECALL KIT black control and did NOT transfer the Thermo sensor from his old cooling unit to the new Amish unit. So, since he has the Amish, he can do 2 things.
1. Remove the Black recall box and that will eliminate the code
2. Get the old Temp sensor off the old cooling unit and install it on the Amish unit and that will remove the Code.
3. The code is basically saying it is NOT seeing the Ohm reading from the Temp sensor on the burner case. Newer model 1200/1210 series, instead on NO Power on the panel when the recall box trips, the panel gives you the L1 OP code which is the same as looking at the RED LED on the recall box.
4. If he DID transfer the recall kit and it IS connected correctly, then the recall kit or sensor is bad. There are 2 red wires that come out of the main control that go to the Black recall box on the newer control boards. IF you reverse those 2 wires it will throw that code. If all is connected (recall kit and sensor) reverse those 2 wires at the Black control box. Doug
