Norcold Fridge Depth?

My FW is 150 miles away at the moment and the wife is asking if a 14" platter will fit in the fridge. I have no idea what size fridge we have. It's the typical Norcold AC/propane absorption fridge that comes in most campers. I know, little help there.

All I can find on the internet is overall outside dimensions and cutout dimensions.

So I reach out to you, will a 14" round platter fit in a typical Norcold refrigerator?

Thanks
Dave
  • Just barely by using the door shelf space if it is not full of shelf at that level with enough height for however high what is on the platter is. Photo is a 13" plate pulled out an inch from the back of the fridge to simulate a 14".

    Merry Xmas. :)

Thank You BLF13. That's exactly what I wanted to see. I can remove a door shelf if needed.

I didn't want to get there with this big meat platter she bought to say "Sorry dear, it doesn't fit".

    Merry Christmas to All
  • Take a cooler for backup. Or wrap it tight so you can tilt it if needed. Have fun.

Now I know my fridge is a model N811FRT and a 14" platter barely fits with the door shelf removed. I pulled the platter away from the back wall and closed the door. The door pushed the platter to the back wall.

Data point: The Norcold N811FRT depth clearance below the cooling fins is 14"
  • 2112 has an 8 cu ft (N8xx) refrigerator, I have a smaller 6 cu ft (N6xxx) refrigerator. For some reason I have a plethora of empty cardboard tubes and scotch tape right now. So I made up a quick depth gauge by scotch taping a toothpick to a cardboard tube and closed the door. Closing the door pushes the toothpick back along the tube so that the length can be measured when you open the door back up.

When all else fails, use a different platter that fits.
She ordered it from a deli and we picked it up on our way out of town. Had to take it as-is. It's all good

    Merry Christmas

    Very well done. Thank You
